The most eco-friendly method of methanol production involves usage of captured CO2 through CCU process and green hydrogen from water electrolysis powered by renewable energies. Obtained CO2 and H2 are then subjected to a catalytic synthesis, resulting in methanol and water production, followed by purification and separation. Another way to produce renewable methanol is through biomass fermentation or gasification.
